If you are ever back in the neighborhood, I will take care of your meal at Nick's. I envy what you are doing, and I would love to hear from you about what you are finding out on your "recession" road trip. I am a bond/spuz futures trader for a large hedge fund in Chicago, but I live in Carlisle and run Nick's as well- along with my grandmother and two uncles. Personally, I believe that a recession is a foregone conclusion. How long and how deep are what need to be answered. As a trader as well as a businessman who sees the everyday impact of high fuel prices (mainly on truck drivers), I believe that this recession will be severe, and it will disproportinately affect people with too much debt on their balance sheets. Anyway, I would love to chat with you and Gwen if you come back through. I love a good, intellectual discussion, and I'm glad to know that there are other young people who may have a clue as to what is going on. Anyway, have fun on your trip.
